The Erasmus programme was established in 1987 as a student exchange programme. Although its scope and objectives have expanded in subsequent years, the main idea remains the same: the development of international cooperation between universities.

Erasmus enables students to go to universities abroad for part of their studies and placements studies and placements abroad.
