About us

The Faculty of Philosophy at the Jagiellonian University is a place where the human being is placed at the centre of research interests.

During your studies, you can learn about yourself, other people, diverse cultures and religions, and gain a better understanding of the world, the individual and society.

At present, there are nearly 2,100 male and female students and just under 200 male and female doctoral candidates studying at the faculty. It is one of the oldest faculties at our university, having been established in 1364.
